Important information to keep in mind before downloading it:

  • Ensure you have the Google Maps app installed on your device (Android or iOS).
  • Update: Offline maps expire after 30 days, but you can easily update them from the “Offline maps” menu.
  • File size: Ensure you have enough storage space on your device before downloading large areas.

How to download the map on your devices:

  • Open the app on your phone or tablet.
  • Make sure to adjust the map so that it covers the area you want to download. You can zoom in or out to cover the full region.
  • Once you've found the area on the map, tap on your profile icon in the top right corner (usually your photo or initials).
  • In the menu that appears, select "Offline maps."
  • Tap on "Select your own map."
  • You’ll now see a box on the screen that you can adjust by zooming in or out to cover the specific area you want to download. The larger the area, the more space it will take on your device, so adjust the size of the map according to your needs.
  • After selecting the area, tap the "Download" button.
  • Once downloaded, you can access this map without internet access. Just open the Google Maps app, and if you're offline, it will automatically show your downloaded maps.

Tipping is a personal choice and should be based on the quality of service provided. These are the estimated tips per person according to the provided service:

  • Full-day tour: 30-40 USD (Split between driver and guide)
  • Half Day Tour: 15 -20 USD (Split between driver and guide)
  • Hotel porters/drivers: 1-2 USD
  • Housekeeping: 1-2 USD (per night)
  • Transfers: 2-5 USD
  • Restaurant: 10% of the bill

This way, you will stay updated minute by minute and always be in touch with someone from our team! Here is a step-by-step how to use guide:

  • Go to the app store on your device and search for Vamoos. Press download and open the app.
  • Once you are here you will log in using the user and password your guest relations representative sent you via email with your final documents-
  • If you are part of a travel group, log in with your name or a nickname to register for your session.
  • Now you will have access to your full itinerary, with the description of all the activities and the hotel you will be staying at. You will also have your final documents such as Day by Day itinerary (valid as vouchers), and our emergency phone number.
  • You will also find a map for each destination you will be visiting, where you will get access to our highlights such as restaurants and local places of interest, ATMs, Hospitals, and much more.

Each airline has its policy regarding check and onboard luggage. Below you will find general information about the Airlines that we usually book for our clients.

Aerolineas Argentinas allows one piece up to 15 kg for checked bags, per person, and 8 kg for hand luggage plus a personal item, on board. Any extra kg will be considered excess and will be charged at the time of check-in, with a limit of 23 kg per piece.

LATAM allows one piece up to 23 kg for checked bags, per person, and 10 kg for hand luggage plus a personal item, on board. The Excess Baggage will be charged at the time of check-in.

  • Bring physical dollars/euros, specifically, USD 100 or € 100 bills to be precise.
  • Ensure the notes are in good condition and avoid folding the notes as certain banks and exchanges will not accept notes with marks or significant creases.
  • Lower bills in some places offer a lower rate, and some exchange houses do not accept the old dollar bill (aka small face)

Credit cards in Argentina
On the 1st of January the government started to offer a different dollar in credit cards to foreigners and is for those tourists who have a credit card issued abroad, Visa and Mastercard are now taking purchases in pesos at the ''MEP dollar'', so there is no need for the passenger to bring as much cash as before, the difference is enormous.

ATM’s
ATMs are located in banks, most of them, but are open 24hs. Each bank has a different fee that will charge you to use their system, plus your bank fee. We recommend bringing a couple of US dollars and exchanging them, so you have some cash to move around and then pay with Credit cards or use ATMs whenever you run out of money. Keep in mind that ATM fees are usually high in Argentina and Chile.
